Hey there! As a die-hard hockey fan, I can't help but weigh in on the situation with Joseph Woll and the Maple Leafs. It's a tough spot for the team, especially with Stolarz out. Woll has shown flashes of brilliance, but those recent losses really highlight the pressure he's under.
I totally get the argument about pushing him to build mental toughness. The playoffs are a different beast, and if he doesn't face that pressure now, how will he handle it when it really counts? But at the same time, his health is paramount. The last thing the Leafs need is to lose him to another injury, especially when they’re already thin in goal.
Balancing his development with the need for a solid goaltending tandem is crucial. I think they should give him some starts to build that resilience, but also rotate in another goalie to keep him fresh. It’s all about finding that sweet spot where he can grow without risking his long-term health.
What do you think? Should they push him more, or play it safe?
