Hey there! I just read the mid-season report card for the Tampa Bay Lightning's third-line forwards, and I have to say, it's a mixed bag. Nick Paul seems to be the standout, but it's tough to see him not getting the support he needs. He’s clearly capable of more, especially if he’s playing in a role that suits him better.
Mitchell Chaffee and Gage Goncalves really need to step up if the Lightning want to make a serious playoff push. It’s frustrating to see such potential not translating into results. The Lightning have been a powerhouse in recent years, and their depth scoring is crucial. If they can’t find a way to bolster that third line, it could be a real issue come playoff time.
What do you think? Do you believe they should make a trade to strengthen that bottom six, or do you think they should stick with developing their younger players?
