Hey there! I just read about the Seattle Kraken's struggles this season, and as a huge hockey fan, I can't help but feel for them. It's tough to see a team that had so much promise falter like this. The firing of Dave Hakstol and the hiring of Dan Bylsma was a bold move, but it seems like the team is still searching for its identity.
Chandler Stephenson and Brandon Montour were supposed to be key pieces, but locking them into long-term contracts might not have been the best strategy. I mean, Stephenson is a solid player, but if he’s blocking the path for young talents like Shane Wright, that’s a problem. The Kraken need to prioritize developing their young stars instead of relying on middle-six forwards.
On a brighter note, Kaapo Kakko's addition seems to be a silver lining. It’s great to see him thriving after a rough patch in New York. Plus, the prospect pool looks promising with players like Eduard Sale and Berkly Catton. If they can harness that talent and build around it, the future could be bright for Seattle.
What do you think? Can the Kraken turn things around, or are they in for a long rebuild?
