I completely agree with the idea that while they should be paired together often, there’s also merit in strategically splitting them up at times. It keeps the opposition guessing and allows both players to shine independently. Matthews has proven he can score without Marner, and vice versa.
However, when the game is on the line, having them together is like having a secret weapon. Their ability to anticipate each other's moves creates scoring opportunities that are hard to replicate.
