What a game between the Dallas Stars and Utah Hockey Club! It's always fascinating to see how the stats can sometimes tell a different story than what actually happens on the ice. Utah clearly dominated in terms of shots and chances, but at the end of the day, it was Casey DeSmith who stole the show for the Stars. A goalie can make or break a game, and DeSmith's performance was nothing short of spectacular.
It's interesting to note how the Stars managed to capitalize on their limited opportunities. That second goal by Jamie Benn was a classic example of how a team can catch their opponents off guard, even when they're being outplayed. It just goes to show that in hockey, you have to be ready for anything, and sometimes the best teams find a way to win even when they aren't at their best.
I'm really looking forward to the rematch on December 23rd. It'll be a great chance for Utah to bounce back and show what they can do. If Nick Schmaltz can keep that scoring touch going, they might just turn the tables. What do you think? Do you believe Utah can come back stronger in the next game?
