Hey there! I just read about Greensboro getting an ECHL team, and I couldn't be more excited! It's fantastic to see hockey making a return to a city with such a rich history in the sport. The fact that Greensboro has had previous teams and even hosted the NHL's Carolina Hurricanes for a couple of seasons shows that there's a solid fan base ready to embrace this new franchise.
I love the idea of turning Tournament Town into Hockey Town! It’s all about building that community spirit and bringing families together to enjoy the game. The atmosphere at the First Horizon Coliseum is going to be electric, especially with the anticipation of the first puck drop in October 2025.
Plus, the history of the Monarchs and the Generals adds a nostalgic touch. It’s amazing to think about the record crowd they had back in '94! I really hope this new team can capture that same passion and excitement. What do you think? Are you looking forward to seeing how this unfolds?
