Hey there! I just read about Rick Tocchet's comments after the Canucks' tough loss to the Islanders, and I have to say, it's refreshing to see a coach take responsibility like that. It shows he cares about the team and the fans. But at the same time, the players really need to step up.
It's clear that the Canucks have the talent to compete, especially with guys like Elias Pettersson and J.T. Miller in the lineup. They can't afford to play lifeless hockey, especially at home. The energy should have been electric with Dakota Joshua back and a rookie scoring his first goal!
I think Tocchet's right to call out the lack of intensity. If they want to be a playoff contender, every shift has to be played at 100%. The pressure is on the top players to lead by example. If they don’t start meeting those expectations, it could get pretty loud in Vancouver, and not in a good way. What do you think? Can the Canucks turn it around this season?
