I can't believe the Bruins decided to send Matthew Poitras down to Providence! It feels like such a misstep, especially considering how impactful he's been on the ice. Sure, his point production might not be through the roof, but his advanced stats tell a different story. With the best Corsi for percentage and expected goals for percentage on the team, it's clear he's contributing significantly to the game.

The Bruins are struggling to generate offense, and Poitras has been one of the few bright spots. It seems counterintuitive to send down a player who is controlling play and creating quality chances. I get that player development is important, but why not let him develop at the NHL level where he can learn from the best?

Plus, with the team’s inconsistency, they need all hands on deck. Moving Morgan Geekie to the top line might shake things up, but I can't help but think that Poitras could have been a key piece in finding that offensive spark. I really hope this decision doesn't come back to haunt them, and that Poitras can come back stronger after some time in the AHL. What do you think? Is there a chance this could actually benefit him in the long run?
