What a game that was! The Toronto Maple Leafs really turned things around after a rough start against the Montreal Canadiens. It's always a rollercoaster when these two teams meet, and this game was no exception. The first period was a nightmare for the Leafs, with the Habs dominating and scoring three quick goals. But credit to Joseph Woll for holding the fort; without his stellar saves, it could have been a much worse outcome.
The way the Leafs responded in the second and third periods was impressive. Seven unanswered goals? That's a statement! Auston Matthews and William Nylander stepping up is what we expect from them, but seeing Oliver Ekman-Larsson contribute with a three-point night was a pleasant surprise. It’s great to see him finding his groove after some struggles.
And let’s not forget Bobby McMann! His hustle on that 2-on-1 was something else. It’s moments like these that remind us why we love hockey. The Leafs have a tough schedule ahead with the Lightning and the Blue Jackets coming up, but if they can build on this momentum, they could really make a push. What do you think about their chances moving forward?
