Wow, what a game! The Iowa Wild really had a tough night against the IceHogs. Falling behind 4-0 in the first period is a mountain to climb, no matter how much talent you have on your roster. It’s impressive that they managed to outshoot Rockford 44-29, but that just goes to show how crucial it is to capitalize on those chances.
I mean, five power play opportunities and coming up empty? That’s got to be frustrating for the team and the fans. Special teams can make or break a game, and it seems like the IceHogs took full advantage of their chances.
