Hey there! I just read about the trade between the Edmonton Oilers and the Philadelphia Flyers, where the Oilers picked up Ronnie Attard in exchange for Ben Gleason. It's always interesting to see how teams are trying to tweak their rosters, especially when it comes to depth on defense.

Attard seems like a solid addition for the Oilers. At 6-foot-3 and 207 pounds, he brings some size and has shown he can be a reliable shutdown defender in the AHL. His offensive numbers in college were impressive too, and while he hasn't lit it up in the NHL yet, he has the potential to develop into a valuable depth player. The Oilers definitely need that kind of flexibility on their blue line, especially with the ups and downs of a long season.

I think this trade is a smart move for the Oilers. It gives them more options and a chance to see if Attard can step up when called upon. Plus, with him being a pending unrestricted free agent, it adds a bit of motivation for him to perform. What do you think about this trade? Do you see Attard making an impact in the NHL soon?
