Hey there! I just read about the Oilers potentially being in the mix for John Klingberg, and I have to say, it's a bit of a mixed bag for me. On one hand, Klingberg has shown he can put up points and has that offensive flair that could be beneficial for a team like Edmonton, especially with their high-octane offense. But on the other hand, his defensive inconsistencies and injury history raise some serious red flags.
The Oilers have struggled with defensive depth in the past, and while they seem to be improving in that area this season, adding another offensive-minded defenseman might not be the best move. They already have Evan Bouchard, who fits that mold, and bringing in Klingberg could just complicate things further.
If they can get him on a two-way deal and use him sparingly, maybe it could work out, but I really think they should focus on solidifying their defensive core instead. What do you think? Are you on board with the idea of bringing Klingberg in, or do you think the Oilers should steer clear?
