What a game last night! The Edmonton Oilers really put on a show against the New York Islanders. I mean, how thrilling was that overtime win? Leon Draisaitl continues to prove why he's one of the best in the league, scoring twice and sealing the deal in OT. And can we talk about Connor McDavid? Just one point away from 1,000! It's incredible to see him on the verge of such a milestone, especially with the way he’s been playing lately.
Evan Bouchard also stepped up big time, contributing significantly after a bit of a slump. It’s crucial for the Oilers to have their defensemen involved in the offense, especially as they gear up for a tough matchup against the Predators.
On the flip side, the Islanders showed some grit coming back to tie the game, but it’s tough to lose in OT like that. Ilya Sorokin was phenomenal, making 38 saves! It’s a shame he couldn’t hold off the Oilers in the end, but he kept them in the game for sure.
