Hey there! I just read about the Sabres' rough outing against the Flyers, and wow, what a tough game for them. It's frustrating to see a team with so much potential struggle like that, especially after a comeback win against the Blues. The discipline issues are really concerning. Tied for the third-most penalties taken per game? That’s a recipe for disaster!
I totally agree that they need to clean up their act on the ice. Those lazy penalties can kill momentum and put unnecessary pressure on the penalty kill. And speaking of the penalty kill, it’s clear that when it’s not working, the whole team suffers.
The effort level was just not there either. It’s hard to watch a team that has the talent but looks lost out there. I get that injuries are a factor, but they need to find a way to rally and play better as a unit.
And then there’s Devon Levi. I think sending him down to the AHL could be the best move for his development right now. He needs consistent playing time to build his confidence. It’s tough to see a young goalie struggle, but sometimes a step back can lead to a big leap forward.
What do you think? Can the Sabres turn it around, or are we in for a long season?
