Hey there! I just read about the Winnipeg Jets placing Henri Nikkanen on waivers for contract termination. It's always tough to see a player not make it to the NHL, especially after being drafted. Nikkanen had a decent run in the AHL with the Manitoba Moose, but it seems like he just couldn't find his footing at the NHL level.
The Moose are struggling this season, sitting at the bottom of the Central Division, which doesn't help anyone's development. It's a shame because every player wants that shot in the big league, and it can be so competitive. I hope he finds a new opportunity with another team where he can really showcase his skills.
What do you think about the Jets' decision? Do you think they should have given him more time, or was it the right call?
