It's tough to see the Buffalo Sabres dealing with Mattias Samuelsson's injury issues again. He was such a promising player, and his potential as a defensive anchor was a big part of the team's plans. The Sabres have been struggling with their blue line for years, and Samuelsson's absence just adds to that headache.

I understand the frustration from fans about his contract and the idea of trading him, but I think it's a bit premature. Injuries can be a part of a player's journey, and while they can be frustrating, they don't always define a player's career. Samuelsson has shown flashes of brilliance when healthy, and I believe the Sabres should give him a chance to bounce back.

That said, the Sabres do have some depth on defense now, and players like Henri Jokiharju stepping up could provide some much-needed relief. If Samuelsson can't stay healthy, the team might have to make some tough decisions down the line, especially with the salary cap looming. But for now, I think patience is key. The Sabres have invested in him, and it would be a shame to give up on that potential too soon. What do you think? Should they hold on to him or start exploring trade options?
