Canucks' Tough Love for Pettersson: A Risky Strategy?

Hey there! I just read about the Vancouver Canucks' approach to toughening up Elias Pettersson, and I have to say, it's a pretty controversial move. On one hand, I get that they want him to elevate his game and become a more well-rounded player, especially after signing that massive contract. But pushing him like this, especially through peer pressure, feels a bit risky.

J.T. Miller's role in this is particularly interesting. He's known for being a bit of a hothead, and while I understand the leadership aspect, I wonder if he's the right guy to be pushing Pettersson. It could either motivate him or create some serious tension in the locker room. I mean, Pettersson is a talented player, but if he feels targeted or bullied, it could backfire.

I think the Canucks need to find a balance. They want Pettersson to toughen up, but they also need to ensure he feels supported, not singled out. It’s a delicate situation, and I hope it doesn’t lead to any long-term issues for the team. What do you think? Is this tough love approach going to pay off, or could it end up causing more harm than good?
