Oilers Should Steer Clear of Trouba Trade

Hey there! I just read that article about the Oilers and their potential interest in Jacob Trouba, and I have to say, I completely agree with the argument against targeting him. The Oilers have been struggling with defensive depth for a while now, and bringing in a player like Trouba, who has been labeled as a defensive liability, just doesn't make sense.
The Oilers need a shutdown defender, someone who can really solidify that blue line and help out their goaltenders. Trouba's cap hit is also a huge concern, especially with the Oilers already tight on cap space. They should be looking for a player who can contribute defensively without breaking the bank.
Plus, with the Rangers potentially looking to shake things up, there are definitely better options out there. The Oilers have some attractive assets they could use to make a trade, but they need to be smart about it. They can't afford to overpay for a player who might not fit their needs.
What do you think? Do you see any other players out there that the Oilers should target instead?
