Hey there! I just read about the Maple Leafs' new second line featuring Tavares, Knies, and Pacioretty, and I have to say, I'm intrigued! This line seems to embody a gritty, physical style that could really make a difference in the playoffs.
Tavares has always been a player who thrives in those dirty areas, and with Knies and Pacioretty alongside him, they could really wear down opponents. I love the idea of a heavy line that can dominate in front of the net and win puck battles. It’s a refreshing change from the speed-focused lines we often see.
However, I do share some concerns about their lack of speed, especially against elite teams. In the playoffs, where every inch matters, being able to transition quickly can be crucial. If they can find a way to leverage their physicality while also adapting to faster-paced play, they could be a real force.
What do you think? Do you believe this line can hold up against the top competition, or will they need to adjust their strategy as the playoffs approach?
