Hey there! I just read about the Oilers claiming Kasperi Kapanen off waivers from the Blues, and I have to say, it's a pretty intriguing move. Kapanen has definitely had a rough patch in his career lately, but I think the Oilers are taking a calculated risk here.

At just $1 million, it's a low-cost gamble that could pay off if he finds his scoring touch again. The Oilers have a roster filled with elite talent, and sometimes a change of scenery is all a player needs to rediscover their game. Remember when Kapanen was lighting it up with the Leafs? If he can tap into that potential, he could be a valuable asset for Edmonton.

I also find it interesting that some people are suggesting this move is a revenge tactic against the Blues. I think that's a bit far-fetched. The Oilers are looking to bolster their depth, and Kapanen could provide some much-needed support, especially if he can contribute offensively.

What do you think? Do you believe Kapanen can turn things around in Edmonton, or is this just a case of wishful thinking?
