Hey there! I just read about Darnell Nurse's injury scare, and as an Oilers fan, it definitely had me holding my breath. That hit from Ryan Reaves looked brutal, and it's a relief to hear that Nurse is doing well and could be back in just a week or so. The Oilers really dodged a bullet here, but it does raise some serious concerns about their defensive depth.
If Nurse had been out longer, it would have put a lot of pressure on the rest of the blue line. I mean, we all know how crucial he is to the team's success. The fact that they’re going with an 11-7 lineup shows they’re trying to manage the situation, but it’s clear that GM Stan Bowman needs to be proactive in finding another solid defenseman.
What do you think? Do you believe the Oilers should make a trade to bolster their defense, or do you think they can manage with what they have? I'm all for making a move if it means keeping the team competitive!
