It's always tough to see players like Philip Broberg and Dylan Holloway go down with injuries, especially after they were starting to find their rhythm with the St. Louis Blues. As an Oilers fan, it's bittersweet to watch former players succeed elsewhere, but you can't help but root for them. Both players had so much potential, and it’s a shame that injuries are putting a damper on what could have been breakout seasons for them.
Broberg was really coming into his own, ranking second in team points for the Blues. It’s a tough break for him, but the four to six-week timeline is at least a glimmer of hope. And Holloway’s situation was downright scary. Taking a puck to the neck is no joke, and I’m relieved to hear he’s stable. The hockey community really rallies around players in these situations, and it’s heartwarming to see fans from all teams sending their well wishes.
Injuries are part of the game, but it’s always hard to watch talented players face setbacks. I hope both of them recover quickly and can get back to showcasing their skills on the ice. Once an Oiler, always an Oiler! What do you think about the Oilers' decision not to match the offer sheets? Do you think they missed out on something special?
