It's clear that Stuart Skinner has had his ups and downs, and while he did help lead the team to the Stanley Cup Final last season, those shaky performances in critical moments raise some serious questions.
The fact that he allowed a soft goal in Game 7 is a tough pill to swallow for any fan. You need a goalie who can be a rock in those high-pressure situations, and right now, it seems like the Oilers are taking a big risk by sticking with him and Calvin Pickard.
If they want to make a deep playoff run, they absolutely need to consider bringing in a more reliable goaltender. The last thing they want is to find themselves in a situation where they have to rely on Pickard to carry the load if Skinner falters or gets injured.
